But here's where it gets controversial... Vic's journey began in 1994 as an evening host, later transitioning to mornings, and finally settling into the afternoon slot. His love for classic cars led him to be inducted into the 'Cruisin' Hall of Fame' as a Lifetime Achievement Honoree, hosting iconic car shows like San Bernardino's Route 66 Rendezvous. Prior to KOLA, Vic honed his skills at Country 92.7 KOOJ and CHR 99.1 KGGI.
In his own words, Vic shared, "Since I was a little kid, radio has been my dream. Growing up in the Inland Empire, listening to KMEN, KFXM, KRLA, and KHJ, my heroes were Wolfman Jack, Casey Kasem, and the Real Don Steele. To work on the very airwaves I grew up with is a dream come true. Combining my radio career with my passion for classic cars? It doesn't get any better than that. The Inland Empire has been incredible to me, and I'm forever grateful."
KOLA's General Manager, Jeff Parke, expressed, "Working alongside Vic for the past thirty-one years has been an absolute joy and a privilege. He was a legend when we hired him, and he's remained one throughout his time at KOLA. Losing Vic will be incredibly difficult, not just as a dedicated and loyal broadcasting professional, but also as a dear friend whom I'll miss every day. I wish Vic all the happiness in his retirement."
