Michael Jordan's iconic Air Jordan 13s are making a comeback, and this time, it's the 'True Red' colorway that's grabbing all the attention. Since the buzz began in March, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of this retro shoe, which hasn't been available since 2017. The 'True Red' Air Jordan 13, a mid-top style from the original 1997-1998 lineup, is one of just four original designs. It first hit the shelves in 1998 and has since been rereleased twice, in 2010 and 2017. While it's officially known as 'True Red,' it's also affectionately called 'Team Red,' 'Cherry,' or 'Chicago.'
The shoe's standout feature is its dimpled white leather upper, contrasted by bright True Red suede paneling on the midsole and heel. The heel, in particular, is a design element that wraps around the medial and lateral sections of the shoe, adding to its distinctive look. This Chicago Bulls-themed colorway is as eye-catching as ever and includes all the signature elements of the Air Jordan 13, such as the iconic heel hologram Jumpman logo. Despite not being as frequently featured in recent years as some other Jordan Brand retro releases, the Air Jordan 13 is set to have a big year in 2026.
In addition to the 'True Red' colorway, the Air Jordan 13 is expected to be rereleased in its original 'Flint Gray' colorway and a low-top variation of the 'He Got Game' colorway, which was worn by Denzel Washington's character in Spike Lee's 1998 film. The shoe will be available in full-family sizing next spring, catering to both grade-schoolers and adults. The 'True Red' Air Jordan 13 Retro is set to release on March 13, with men's sizes (style code 414571-102) retailing for $210 and grade-school sizes (style code DJ3003-102) at $160.
